Alderman James Vos, the City’sMayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, attended the session and engaged with various industry role players and small business owners.
Empowering SMMEs through strategic engagement
Building on the success of previous sessions, this event underscores the City's commitment to bridging SMMEs and procurement teams. The Smart Supplier Programme is designed to help SMMEs overcome obstacles, enhance competitiveness and improve market access through training, mentorship, networking and innovation support.
A platform for innovation and growth
This third of four match-up sessions showcased innovative solutions from local SMMEs to various buyers. Participants engaged in targeted discussions, one-on-one meetings and networking opportunities, gaining valuable insights into procurement processes and market access.
Alderman Vos expressed pride and enthusiasm for the programme’s tangible and ongoing impact.
‘These sessions open doors for our local SMMEs, facilitating connections, knowledge-sharing, and market access. We are committed to creating growth conditions and making Cape Town the easiest place to do business,’ said Alderman Vos.
