The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate would like to advise residents, road users, businesses and the broader public of the resurfacing of various roads in Steenberg. The roadworks start today, 6 May 2024, and are scheduled to end before the end of May 2024, provided there are no unforeseen delays. The work will take place from 07:30 to 17:00 on weekdays. The resurfacing will include the following roads:
· Stamen Road
· Julius Crescent
· Rankie Road
· Felcia Street
· Gazania Street
· Stingle Road (Half)
· Nector Road
· Daisy Hill Road
‘All of the affected roads will either be closed in half widths or full widths depending on the nature of the traffic. We thank you for your patience during the course of this work and ask that motorists who regularly drive on these roads please consider using alternative routes during this period. The safety and convenience of the travelling public is of utmost importance and every effort will be made to ensure that the impact on motorists and the public is mitigated as far as possible,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
