Approximately 40 000 people are expected to attend the local rugby derby with potential playoff-deciding implications.
The game is part of a double-header of rugby action kicking off at 10:30 with an SA Rugby Under-21 CUP clash between Western Province and Cheetahs.
Gates at DHL Stadium will open at 10:00.
The under-21 game will be followed by the main event which kicks off at 13:45.
‘This is an earlier kick off than previous home games the Stormers have played this season. We would like to request spectators to make their way to the stadium early to avoid traffic congestion and rush into the stadium. The City will make available a free MyCiTi shuttle for ticket holders to get to the stadium on game day. There’s limited parking in the Green Point precinct and we advise spectators to park in the CBD and take the bus to the stadium. Alternatively, park in the CBD and use the Fan Walk to make your way to the stadium. We will be deploying our Safety and Security personnel along the Fan Walk and the stadium precinct to ensure a seamless experience,’ said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman JP Smith.
The MyCiTi shuttle service will take spectators to the stadium from the Civic Centre, Thibault Square and the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from 11:15.
Buses will depart from these points every 15 minutes or when full. The last bus after the game will leave the Stadium Station at 17:45.
For those taking the bus, paid parking is available at CTICC and off street parking in the CBD.
