On Wednesday, 4 February, Jobs Connect, Business Hub, and Informal Economy teams will be at the Rocklands Civic Centre, on Park Road, Mitchells Plain.

For Jobs Connect registrations, residents will need a working email address, a working cellphone number, and their ID numbers (which will be their Jobs Connect account unique identifier).
‘These services have supported thousands of Capetonians in accessing work opportunities, upskilling courses, and equipping small business owners with information resources. In bringing our teams face-to-face with the communities in Mitchells Plain, we can help people to sign up to Jobs Connect, answer questions about enterprise support, and assist informal traders wanting to apply for trading bays, find out about available open bays, or other related queries.
‘This is a great opportunity for Mitchells Plain residents, and I encourage you all to come through,’ said Alderman James Vos, the Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth.
The Economic Growth Directorate is planning similar activations in other areas later in the year.
