‘This week, City Human Settlements teams were in Lotus River, providing residents with real-time assistance and solutions to a wide range of Human Settlements related enquiries. Our new service delivery and title deeds express bus is already making an impact in taking services to our human settlements customers,’ said the Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlements, Councillor Carl Pophaim.
All Human Settlements line departments were present at the roadshow, enabling residents to access multiple services in one place, including:
‘In addition to assisting residents with various enquiries, the City was proud to hand over title deeds to Lotus River beneficiaries. Title deeds are more than just a piece of paper - they represent security, dignity, and a lasting legacy for generations to come.
‘These roadshows have proven to be extremely successful over the past few years, and their popularity within our communities continues to grow. Our new service bus is set to boost our efforts. By taking services directly to residents, we are removing barriers to access and ensuring that people receive the support they need, closer to home.
‘The City will continue to roll out Human Settlement roadshows across the metro in the coming months and we look forward to working with and assisting many more communities in future,’ said Councillor Pophaim.

Please note: the City is currently finalising the programme for visits across the metro. We will communicate the confirmed dates to residents closer to the time. This approach allows the City to complete all necessary planning and logistics to ensure the appropriate services are available and delivered on the day of the visit.
