‘Due to necessary construction work at the intersection of Japhta K Masemola Road and Baden Powell Drive, the outgoing one-way lane will be closed for the next week and a half. This is more of a safety precaution to ensure that vehicles are not damaged during the construction that is taking place along this road. Motorists will further benefit from the resurfaced road once the job is done,’ said the Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
Traffic from Khayelitsha towards Baden Powell Drive will have to take a detour route via Walter Sisulu Road.
